In what many are hoping will become a trend, Linpus recently released Linpus Linux Lite, the first commercial OS aimed specifically at low-cost UMPCs such as the EeePC, Cloudbook, OLPC, and Classmate PC. This new distro is designed to run smoothly on as little as a 500MHz CPU, 128MB of RAM and 512MB of storage. The desktops has also been designed with 7″ screens in mind.
